Invincible Youth

Invincible Youth (Hangul: 청춘불패; Hanja: 靑春不敗; romanized: cheong-chun-bul-pae) is a South Korean variety show which aired on KBS2 from October 23, 2009 to December 24, 2010. The show features 7 girls (collectively known as G7) from top K-Pop idol groups wherein they experience how it is to live and survive in the rural Korea outdoors. The 7 girls initially included Narsha of Brown Eyed Girls, Han Sunhwa of Secret, Hyuna of 4minute, Hyomin of T-ara, Sunny and Kwon Yuri of Girls' Generation, and Goo Hara of Kara.
On Friday, May 14, 2010, the PD of the show Kim Ho Sang announced that Sunny, Yuri, and Hyuna will be leaving the show due to scheduling conflicts with their respective groups' overseas promotions. Their final filming will take place on Wednesday, May 19. Their replacements will be decided through private auditions with members of other K-pop girl groups, and will be revealed in early June. On May 30 was finally confirmed that After School’s Jooyeon, f(x)’s Victoria and Kim Sori will become the three new members of G7 on Invincible Youth. Kim Jong Min (of Koyote) also became a semi permanent member for a month under the moniker of being a "Variety show mentor" for the new members.
On the August 27th Episode, it was announced that Kim Tae Woo will be taking a temporary leave of absence due to a surgery he is to receive for his throat. He vowed to come back to the show as soon as he makes a full recovery. Starting episode 44, Song Eun Yi has filled in as a semi-permanent MC in Kim Tae Woo's absence. On the 8th of December 2010, it was revealed that Invincible Youth has wrapped up recording of their finale episode. They have filmed over one year, starting in October 2009.KBS 2TV’s variety program, “Invincible Youth,” will be touching viewers’ hearts once more with a second season.
Kim Sang Ho PD revealed to Star News on December 10th, “The show is not going to be discontinued. Viewers can take it as an end to season one. We will soon be seeing our viewers once again next year through a second season.”
The show first aired in October as a unique program that had various girl groups working on farms; currently, the final episode for ’season one’ is waiting to air on December 24th.
Meanwhile, the producer continued, “We’re not discontinuing the show because of low viewer ratings. There’s been a lot of conflicting schedules due to girl groups like KARA expanding their activities overseas. It was difficult to take out some of the fixed members, so we decided to end season one for now. There’s a lot of trust being placed on the worth of the ‘Invincible Youth’ brand. After discussions with other producers, everyone agreed to end season one and go ahead with season two next year.”

After season one ended, a lot of girl groups entered the music scene as we’ll have a broad range to form a group from. Currently we are in the process of recruitment.” The second season is setting its goal to enter broadcasting as a replacement for the fall edition. The only thing set for certain is the location of the fishing village on the west coast and that there will be seven girl group members participating in the show.
